Once in a while you receive an emergency call from someone that either you, your friends or family, or someone in your neighborhood is need of assistance. This assistance could be anything starting from a glass of water, encouragement, advise, financial help or manual labour.

We often leave number or contact details in the car, visible to people so that if our car is blocking someone's car or needs us to move our car they could contact us.

One morning after completing my prayer, I received a call from someone in my neighborhood that he needs to take someone to the nearest hospital and can not arrange mode of transportation due to undisclosed circumstances. At once I wanted to assist him, because my religion Islam has taught me to help those who are in need or are at your door with a question with any means you are capable of. I went out and saw the person waiting near my car. We picked the patient old lady from a building, took her to a government hospital in Sharjah. I asked if they needed any other help but they just required assistance. I know that qasmia hospital is government funded hospital.

The gesture I showed was a very small one but it has seeded an opportunity to expand goodness in my small community. I pray I could help more to expand these small gestures. Someday her son or grand son would help another or more.
